Classes: July 7- July 20, 2019 (14 days) Certificate of CompletionThe program offers no credits. Upon successful completion of the course, the student will receive a University of North Georgia Certificate of Completion.

Class SizeThere will be two classes available this summer and the class size is 12 students. Each class is taught by one instructor and two counselors.
Program FeeThere is NO PROGRAM FEE. All costs are covered by the program.

Gregory Feiden is an Assistant Professor of Astronomy at the University of North Georgia and is the director of the North Georgia Astronomical Observatory. He earned a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from Dartmouth College and was a Postdoctoral Scholar in theoretical astrophysics at Uppsala University (Sweden). His research focuses on stellar structure and evolution, with an emphasis on how magnetic fields affect observable properties of stars smaller than our Sun. He is a Co-I on a NASA Astrophysics Theory Program Grant (2018-2020), recipient of a 2018 UNG FUSE grant, and recipient of a 2019 UNG Presidential Incentive Award.
